Pest Control / IPM

What is Integrated Pest Management (IPM)?

Integrated pest management is a method of pest control that draws on several different disciplines in order to effectively solve pest problems in a socially acceptable, and environmentally aware manner.

The Pest Management Coordinator provides an integrated pest management of landscape and structural pests, including education and consultation services.

Grounds Services is limited in its capacity to manage pests larger than the small rodent. For larger pests, including raccoons, skunks, possums, or predatory animals, an independent (off-campus) animal control service is necessary.

To request service or report a grounds related issue, please contact our Work Order Desk at (831) 459-4444, wodesk@ucsc.edu, or online form here.
